GBS welcomes Jay Palmer as an Esri Technical Consultant.
Born in Taranaki, Jay has lived in many places throughout Aotearoa before settling in Whangārei/Ngunguru. Now an Esri Technical Consultant, Jay had a previous life as a Software Engineer before becoming a GIS Analyst for the Northland Regional Council and Far North District Council. She gets the most satisfaction in keeping the users experience simple, especially when there is complexity in the data.
With two two teenage boys to keep her life energized, Jay’s main two passions (outside of whānau and work) are music and beer! She has cunningly combined the two by hosting a Techno radio show sponsored by Phat House brewing. In addition, she is also a regular DJ at Phat House as well as other parties, bars, events and festivals.
